Let's talk Kony Ealy

Alexander can't be relied upon. Dude seemingly stays suspended because he can't pass a piss test.

only fools trip on the past. he'll be a beast for us until he messes up. my vote is he doesn't mess up. the FO wouldn't have reached out to him about coming back if they were soured on him. it'll be a battle between he and Kiny as to which guy starts.

When it comes to Gman. If he sees a talent that can make us better, he will grab him. So...if we take a DE, I would expect him to be a talented kid. If he doesn't draft a DE, I would think he didn't find one he liked.

Personally, I would prefer we skip a year on the D-line. Spend more picks on the Offensive side of the ball. Maybe a stud Safety if Gman sees one. Otherwise, IMO, we need Offensive talent more so than adding to an already crowded D-line.

That said. Gman will draft as close to BPA as he can. So who knows what we wind up with.

Overall, the DL talent looks a lot better in this draft than the OL talent IMO. Jake Fisher is the only LT prospect in this draft that I REALLY like. Unfortunately, safety and OL are big nerds for us but this class just looks weak IMO. I think OL is "deep" this year in that there are a lot of mid-round guys there, but the top end looks thin to me.

WR, RB and front seven defenders look pretty deep though. Gman likes value, so I think there's a good chance we look hard at those positions.

I think our only big nerd is Trae. :)

I'm glad don dave picked him rather than moses, I disagreed at the time. Bad information for nearly all "experts" on moses. Early was a great value pick and unlike most rookies got better as the season went on.( no rookie wall)

He's a great young piece on a deep group. If I'm dave, I'm shopping wes horton for a late rounders or backup OT. If no luck, tell horton to add LBs cause hes replacing dwan edwards.

Good backups get cut all the time by teams with depth at those positions. You don't pass on future starters because you're comfortable with your depth.

True but since we already have major needs at other positions do we ignore DE until later rounds?

I believe we will have to wait until free agency to know for sure. If we are able to sign a good WR and LT then we may not need to draft one in the first. Only a few weeks to wait.

not impressed with Ealy. Need an upgrade through FA badly. Won't happen at the price we can pay. Oh well. We do like mediocrity around here. This team makes me so emo.

who is to say Big Frank isn't an upgrade over Kony. still, we need to look for CJ's replacement as letting him go after next year I think becomes fiscally sound.
