scott "based god" wright's final mock

Recommended Posts

Scott Wright is a great mock drafter. He has a great track record when it comes to predicting picks since the 90s, though he always does rounds 1-3. Unfortunately he updates his mock like 3 times a year. Here is his final mock.

He has

1. DJ Humphries

2. Devin Smith

3. Justin Hardy

as our three picks. what would you think about that draft?

draft countdown (actually, I used it when it was called NFL Draft Countdown before it was changed for trademark purposes I guess) used to be a waaayyyy better site. Now Scott Wright doesn't even do individual evaluations anymore, he just slaps a link to their prospect report on NFL.com. The forums used to be good for insight, but it's a ghost town now compared to years past. Also he tends to be biased towards specific skill sets or positions. He completely whiffed on the QB class in 2011 and had Cam rated at the end of the first round, with "traditional" QBs like Jake Locker rated much higher, in the top 10.

Frash is typing the truth. A few years back that was my go to site for draft infro. More and more it got weaker and others hit the web. I think one of the huddlers ran the panther form... shutdwn? Or something. Form about 2005- 2010 it was a decent draft site with a few nuggets.

I basically only use cbs and nfl 24/7 now-a-days. Its very hard for a website site remain "fresh". I used my old computer a few months ago and check outed the folders, rip 85% of them. :/

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
