Love having Ginn back.  He's said he was chasing a check in Arizona, and seems happy to be back with Cam.

Going back to 2013, he alligator armed a few too many passes.  IF he can cut some of that out, he's a difference maker on offense.  Not to mention special teams. Really excited to have him, KB, Olsen, Funch, and Philly.

Ted Ginn is one of the main reasons i am excited for this offense. Surely even shula cant fug up with all these weapons, right? RIGHT?!

no but seriously if he does, he gone. and that, my friends, will be a great thing for this franchise. so if our offense balls out, great. if they dont, there's no one to blame but shula. and his head will be the first to roll.

It seems odd to me that other teams haven't been able to figure out how to utilize Ginn's talent/skill set.  I hated it when he left after 2013, but was glad he didn't tear it up in the desert.  Hoping he can at least mirror his 2013 numbers for us this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up putting in a significant chunk of time at WR2. The guy just seems motivated and willing to do whatever it takes. He's been regarded as a bust relative to his draft selection for years, but I think he just needed to fit in. I think we would've resigned him if money hadn't have been so tight.

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
