...Jerricho Cotchery, and not just for the TD.

I'm sure everyone remembers the touchdown, but you should also recognize the effort he gave bulling his way for an important first down late in the game.

For whatever you think of him, Cotchery showed up today.

I don't understand why ginn is number one over him. I feel ginn would be better in the slot spot. I was pleased with Funch as well even though he didn't get much action they are bringing him along. In a couple of weeks he will be solid...dang I miss KB

If we actually use him in the red zone, like the Steelers did in '13 (where he dominated), then I'll have a little more faith in this offense.

I'm one of his biggest critics, but it's more so because of the role we've forced him to play. He would be my favorite #4/situational #3 reciever in the entire league... 

Regardless, I was stoked with that effort for the first down and his TD catch...   But man, seeing him attempt to run away from defenders after the catch is like watching a moped try to outrun a Ducati lol. 

Still, good job from Cotch today.

im not just saying this because Ginn is my "adopt-a-panther", but Ginn would have had a great game if he would have caught that one touchdown pass. his stat line would have been like 3 for 80-something and a TD. thats a pretty solid line. not world-beating, but pretty good. 

im comfortable with Ginn being the "#1" for right now. if he has another bad game next week, perhaps someone else should get more snaps over him.

even if they do, we need to put/keep Ginn and Brown on the outside to stretch opposing defenses with their speed

Agreed. And another thing... While Philly didn't do a whole lot this game he had 2 good catches in traffic after the terrible preseason and no drops. The second one where he held on was a very good catch and showed good strength hanging on. I'm not ready to give up on him yet and hopefully he can improve his game to the point where he could be a solid weapon on offense. Just combine these catches with how open he was in the preseason and he's really solid. Had troubles getting open today, but I think he'll be able to put it all together.

Also, while giving shout-outs, can we get one for Addison? Two sacks and a disrupted pass that led to an interception? Not bad kid.

He's a good guy and a hard worker. He'll fill the Ricky Proehl receiver position for us this year and we should be so glad we have him.

His 3rd down catch inside our 20 that he turned into a 1st down was HUGE. Could have been a different outcome if we had to punt there.
