I was there in section 512 and literally thought I was about to die. No way I was gonna miss watching it in person though. 

The occasional large clouds that would block the sun were one of the greatest thing that happened during the game.

well this makes me feel a bit better about the crowd.  But someone needs to let these guys know on a hot day beer is not a proper form of hydration lol.  Go panthers!

It was hot but we sucked as a crowd.  Being in Jacksonville last week I can say their crowd was better and it wasn't close.  The heat hurt but i honestly think Jerry has started to outprice the market.  Not many people can afford the second hand ticket prices from the brokers. Especially in the club.  Hopefully brokers start dumping their psls because they can't turn a profit anymore.

the sun was relentless yesterday. a few clouds broke it up, but it was easily one of the hottest games I've been to at BofA. I like sitting on my side of the field though cuz when it gets cold, the sun is on you more.. but during September? good lord

I agree that was the hottest game I've ever been to. Insanely hot. After about 6 beers and 10 jack and cokes I couldn't even see straight. I was impressed at the amount of people in their seats for kickoff. It was pretty full. Then I noticed half way thru the 2nd quarter the entire club level on the Texans side was maybe 20% full.

Luckily the lord was watching out for me yesterday. I caught my first tee-shirt ever and had that thing draped over my head all day or else I would've been a complete lobster.

Wasn't it only like 83 degrees yesterday?  I know it's been a hell of a lot hotter most of this summer than it was yesterday for southeast NC anyways.

The heat excuse doesn't really work when the upper bowl (who has zero shade) was still populated more than the lower bowl. I guess people didn't want to gets sweaty in their Sunday best or didn't want the gouda cheese to get runny in the heat with their wine.

that's not unusual. Dude falls asleep a lot at the games.  Or he at least looks asleep 75% of the time that they show him on the Big Board.

It was the hottest (and longest- at least w/o overtime) game I've been to, but the club level was noticeably empty in spots all game.  Part of it was probably the rich folks staying out of the heat, but I do think the high prices on the secondary market are part of the issue.  That's not a Jerry issue though- NFL tickets are expensive, but the Panthers are still in the lower half in terms of overall price.  The brokers are setting the prices in the secondary market, and right now demand is not meeting supply.

I don't understand why people pay the prices tickets are and then don't show up/ show up late/ leave early.  There was a mass exodus after we went up 24-10 but there was still almost 10 minutes left.  Also wasn't filled in until halfway through the 1st Quarter.

Not trying to discount the heat b/c one of the refs had to leave during the 4th for heat exhaustion, and fortunately the heat seemed to affect the Texans more than the Panthers (thanks Spartanburg), but the crowd was somewhat disappointing regardless.

I was at the stadium on the lower level panthers sideline.  The sun was beaming for most of the game.  There were times that the cloud broke it up but it usually did not last long.  There was also no breeze near the field ( a few times that I felt ).  In either case, I got up many more times than I usually do to go to the shade.  I did miss parts of the game while waiting in line to get a bottle of water ( ended up getting about 5 through the game ).  In either case, the first quarter went by SLOW and the heat at times almost seemed unbearable.  Our friends were in the top section and actually ended up leaving the game after the first half ( she felt woozy and they went to a bar to watch the rest of the game ).  I think a lot of the fans left at half, especially in the club sections.  In either case, it got very loud at times.  Many times I couldn't even hear myself talking to my wife.  I was actually pretty proud of the fans toward the end when it got deafening and half the people were already gone.  I honestly think it was a combination of the heat and Texans.

I'm guessing a lot of people weren't very outdoorsy this summer.  If you just throw yourself into beaming heat like that after being in the A/C for most of what has been one hot ass summer, then yeah, it's gonna be pretty rough.

Please don't blame it all on the club level folks. The upper deck looked less than half full in the fourth quarter of a 7pt game.
