So what's going to happen with our pass rush?

2nd game in a row without a sack , and we got no pressure on Bortles until the 4th quarter.

 

So how do we fix this? Is it time to start blitzing more.

I would guess that we're going to target a DE at some point in the draft...

We had 1 sack in each of the previous 2 games, but you aren't wrong that we are getting no pressure on the QB's against two pretty poor O-Lines. Something needs to change.

Give cox a try...with luke coming back...send shaq on blitzes would be my best guess.

Not much. New orleans went to the short passing game all day. If you tackle well, an offense is going to have a hard time winning living off of those passes. We didnt tackle well yesterday.   And they racked up a lot of RAC because of it.

People seemed surprised when we were bringing in the likes of Bowers, etc. The front office knows the pass rush is suspect.  I am sure they are working on it.  Our defense is predicated on pressure with the front 4.

Well, CJ has been on a steady decline for two years for one thing.  Losing Frank didn't help.  Ealy is still early in his career and a question mark.  Mario is a one-down, one trick pony but should be getting more pressure.  The rest are kind of filler guys.  It starts with CJ, and when he's hurt and not 100%, and he may never be, it's going to be rough.

We will regret not having Hardy this year, big time.

Yeah dink and dunk offenses give us trouble especially when we don't tackle well. We have three insanely fast linebackers who are suppose to be able to keep those shallow throws in front of them. We didn't tackle well yesterday.

To make up for the lack of the pash rush, I'd think we should be picking up our blitzing more with Shaq and others? Our CBs are strong enough to work one on one and without any pressure, we will get torn apart like we did yesterday with the dinks/dunks.
