What Bucs Fans Are Saying

This week I ventured over to a few Bucs media sites and message boards and afterwards needed an emergency session with my therapist. Good gravy is it dismal in Tampa Bay these days.

Here are a few of my favorite tidbits....

Bucs will have their hands full with Greg Olsen

The Tampa Bay defense will face its first marquee tight end challenge of the season Sunday when Greg Olsen of the Carolina Panthers comes to Raymond James Stadium.

Bucs coaches and defenders are well aware of the headaches Olsen can cause, especially after last year’s second-ranked tight end in receiving yardage attacked the middle of the field for 18 combined receptions for 193 yards and a touchdown during a pair of Panthers wins.

“He does present quite a few challenges,” head coach Lovie Smith said Wednesday. “He’s got excellent speed, great hands and he’s been playing at a high level in this league for a long time.”

Of course, some Bucs fans are predicting a victory...

D looks good for a change. Bucs 27 Kitties 17

A win is possible, but with a young QB and struggling FG kicker it's hard to be very optimistic about winning against that defense. I just want an all around good effort and have a chance to win it. That is the sign that you are almost there. 2-0 in the division would give this team a huge boost in confidence.

Some are discussing the Panthers adding Jared Allen

Had this been Jared Allen from 5 years ago....I would have gave a red rat's ass

Jared Allen of today....not so much

The only thing about this move that makes me nervous is just now Not Nervous this move makes me feel. The guy looked old and slow in Chicago. He'll probably look old and slow in Carolina, too. Except this Sunday. I bet he looks young and rejuvenated on Sunday. And THEN he'll look old and slow again.

But overall, things are fairly depressing in Bucs country

37-13 Cats..

I see us getting punched in the mouth and roughed up boys..

 Panthers 38
Bucs 16

Gonna be ugly as hell. We'll score on offense some, but it's becoming clear that our D is a complete joke. 30-17 panties.

3-2? We haven't beat Carolina since 2012. Jacksonville we haven't beat since 1995(Their first year). What makes you think we're suddenly going to turn things around?
