he didnt do much up here in NY, not an OLB and would be like the 6th or 7th best dlineman on the Jets. Not sure what he brings to the table anymore, if even worth talking about.

I remember Rivera saying they viewed him as a DT. He would be a fantastic pickup and would add more to a stacked DL.

 Gettleman should have gave the Jets a ring and offered a future late round pick. We have no chance at him now so let's just hope he doesn't go to a division rival.

There is virtually zero percent chance that he clears waivers, or makes it all the way to our spot.  Im just about positive that if someone claims him then he has to go to that team....although said team would have to pick up his current contract, so im not sure what hes making and if anyone would be willing to pony up.  I know he was a first round pick so he probably has a decent contract....

The Jets picked up his 5th year option so his $7.75M salary for next year becomes fully guaranteed on the 1st day of the league year in March. He might actually clear waivers due to that, but that's also a major reason we would pass on putting in a claim.
