"Josh Norman has not seen a guy on Julio Jones's level"

The general consensus among pregame shows is that Jones is the best receiver in the NFL (I disagree, but admit that he is pretty damned good). Harrison even calls him the leagues #1 receiver. If that is the case, the logic would dictate that it would be impossible  for Norman to face anyone on his level.

The more important fact is this...Julio Jones has not faced a CB on Josh Norman's level!

Fug Rodney Harrison!

heh, the point of this thread is that Norman has faced Jones numerous times.

And of course if you have a Julio Jones, who leads the league in receptions, you're not gonna be on a 5 game losing streak. Just like if your leading WR is tied for 81st in receptions there's no way you'll be 12-0.

Last Dec. those 4 receptions Jones had were crucial to their successful passing game of 260 yards (and a total of 3 points), while our total receptions (10) contributed to our poor performance in the passing game and a disappointing 34 points.

So stat wise, it's clear that having the best receiver in the game means everything when it comes to a successful season.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
