It's CJ's time to step up, or get out

In the real world you can't just say that because he had a 20M cap hit that there is a way for the team to have exchanged him for an extra 20M and known he would have been hurt. Nobody with any sense would have exchanged him for an extra 5 or 6 million last offseason without having a time machine. Especially given the attitude we had about our DL.

think of what we could have in the secondary for that production 20 mil

Who? Byron Maxwell? And why would DG have signed someone big at the start of the season when all CBs were healthy? There were few complaints before both Bene and Tillman went down and Colin Jones regressed, an unfortunate and fairly extreme set of circumstances that could not have been predicted.

We could lock down JNo long term... (I still think that happens regardless).

Don't blast the messenger.  I have to agree with the fact that CJ has not played up to his pay grade.  Now, there have been flashes and CJ has had injury.  No one can be perfect all the time.  I don't think he was trying bad mouth CJ as much as just saying, 'step it up please'.  He could have chosen his words better but he brought up a good point.  Flame away!

Think of what cj produced 2011-13 for under $10M a year. The fact that we are still on morgage from those years sucks but has nothing to do with what cj is producing today.

Johnson has been a disappointment.  An expensive one.

Never will know how healthy he really has been like Zod said.  Lots of guys play hurt all season and it never actually makes an injury report.  Not sure how that works.  I remember one year when a season ended Smitty talked about a rib injury that plagued him all year and there wasn't a single week that was listed the injury report.

I took his comment to be 'hindsight' but you're definitely right, and I don't see any way to CJ stays without a serious contract modification if he stays at all.

This is what I keep saying, but people won't listen

I still remember his check tweet, something like "lolololol this check looks like a phone number".

The real sad thing is the pressure KK has put on up the middle.  You would think the bootlegs KK forces would feed the QB right into someone like CJ, nope KK runs em down while a panning camera shows "insert DE here" clapping.

Chuck has been playing through pain all season long. Hard for me to criticize that.

All season? He's still in pain after getting 2 months off? What the hell is wrong with him? No way the hammy is still an issue now.
