Bucky Brooks: Five part plan for Broncos to beat Panthers

Recommended Posts

To beat the Panthers you have to nickel and dime us down the field with short passes, consume the clock and keep the ball out of Cams hand.  You cant run against us but you can pass underneath.  You try to keep the score low and hope to win on a last possession field goal.  Anything other than that will be useless.

Honest Opinion.  Our Offense will struggle if they can contain / pressure Cam with just 4 or 5 guys.

Cams worst games ( lol not this year)  have come when pressure and contain were one and the same.   If you get pressure but no contain you're screwed.

That's why it's so damn hard to beat us.  Those guys are working with split seconds.  It's pretty much impossible to get pressure and contain simultaneously.  They have to be 100% synced up, there's almost always someone who screws up, and Cam almost always sees it.

I'd say there is more to it than that.

Also, in those old  games we had to sit back and go heavy pass and in the 2nd half b/c of the score....no run game.

We are a much better team for Cam with Jonathan Stewart and being a legit power run offense.  Got to dictate how the game is played.  That sets up our offense as a whole.

The only point he made was his first one. Control the clock. Thats the only way. Running against us will only get to 3rd and 8 or more. Passing against us cant do that when your QB cant through but 30 yards.  Stopping the run - they havent played nobody that can run. Minnesota could run but they lived and died from it all season long. You didnt have to worry about Teddy passing. Like I said if our dline gets to manning it will be a long night for peyton. If the oline gets us it will be a hard fought game. Our zone coverage is great but the only reason it is is because dline pressure. They dont give a QB time for the WR to run routes and run around to find holes in the zone or come back to the QB.

Lol 35 passing TDs but he struggles from the pocket.

It's a shame morons like this don't have to answer questions or explain ridiculous statements they make.  I can only imagine the blank stare we'd get if somebody actually said, "So Cam struggles from the pocket, huh?  What do you base that on Mr Brooks?"

Hell, I'm all for keeping Cam in the pocket.  He will carve you up and he doesn't have to take the hits.  If that was all it took to beat the Panthers, you'd think some defensive coordinator would have figured it out after 5 years in the league.   LOL. Sheesh!!
