Which free agent corner do we bring in??

Josh Norman will get snapped up by San Francisco, Rams, Oakland or another team desperate to win. I wouldnt be surprised if he is signed before the week is out.  But given we are not going to expect a rookie to start at corner through the draft, who are we going to bring in.  Do we resign Peanut if his rehab is going well, bring in another guy like Cromartie on a 1 or 2 year prove it contract, or sign someone younger who is relatively unknown.  Move Boykin to the outside and bring in another nickel guy or something else???

I think we must have something in the works already or we wouldnt have let him go.  What says the huddle???

Is Chris Gamble available? Seriously though, Getty has a back-up plan, he's had one during the entire back and forth with Norman. Pretty sure if he doesn't think there's a decent corner available he will bulk up on the d-line and ensure our pass rush wreaks havoc.

It's a good draft for CB/DBs. Trust scouting and target a couple UDFAs, ie spend a little more money in SB.

Also the result of deep class- cuts. There will be a few players get the pink slip and one or two should be a panther fit.

    • Been here a while but rarely post and most of them are smartazz. Mostly lurk just so I can sound informed while hanging out drinking beer in my neighbors garage. Amusingly a Huddle level of knowledge kind of makes you a subject matter expert. Thanks for that.
    • That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.
    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
