Are you expecting much from Charles Johnson this year...

Are you expecting big numbers from big money or have you written him off as a serviceable vet?

Not expecting a big year, but not a bad one either.  I'm guessing about 8 sacks, the usual slightly-above-average against the run game, and a solid amount of QB hurries.  Probably a good number of strip-sacks, he's always been good at that, and another year older another year wiser as they say.

Not really at all for me. I'd be extremely happy with 6-8 sacks from him.

I'm expecting around 8-10 sacks since he's in a contract year.

Depends on your definition of big numbers - I expect him to have better numbers than last year, but I dont know if he has double digit sacks.

Maybe it's just me, but after Charles re-signed with us, I seemed to see a lightness in his interviews, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. I think him coming back healthy, with CJ feeling good about where he's at, I expect him to put up respectable numbers (if not the high sack totals we grew used to in the past). I think perhaps just as important, his veteran leadership will help production among the other D-linemen, an intangible benefit that a guy like him brings to the table.

With Kony on the field full time, I'd expect in the 5-7 sack range and maybe 20 tackles or so.
