About those corners...

An assessment needing saying.  I've always found it kind of comical how the 'talking heads' of all the networks draft boards arrange value.  The absolute bottom line is what Jeremy points out, it's all about the system.  Unfortunately you don't have but a handful of choices come draft time.  You take what fits the system.  You pick from what is left during your time.  I would like to have seen different positions addressed but also know the corner was a need.  I have more trust in Gettlman than any GM I have knowledge of.  Very good write up, Jeremy.

Now, about that coffee.  I love coffee.  At my age, the amount of coffee I have tasted around the world could float a battleship.  Nothing tastes better, to me, than a European scoop (heaping tablespoon) of 'Eight O Clock'.

I liked the picks ,DG basically said he didn't want a revolving door in the secondary anymore(press conf.)! Based on the draft strategy we should see it apply to the OL next year,I don't want to hear all the good lineman are gone it's s reach a now, just find the system player.

    • When you look closely at the play it was careless from Melo but bang bang full speed I don’t think it was intentional or dirty or deserving of a foul. Bam’s off balance momentum was already carrying him towards a fall and even if Melo didn’t touch him it may have had the exact same outcome. And honestly I think he did try to sell it more when he felt LaMelo’s hand. Dudes arms flopped back instead of bracing for the fall. Sucks he got hurt but a suspension would be ridiculous and an awful look for the league. Fine and move on
    • Sure but it literally would be benching him lol, and it would kill his confidence. He’ll get back in a rhythm, kid just had an all time great rookie season and led the league in 3s, you gotta stick with him as starter. But yeah I’m all for getting some more lineups throughout the game with Coby and Melo   and yeah Miles’ block and Coby and others jumping him in celebration was fuging epic
    • I would’ve used the timeout on that inbounds before the turnover and Melo’s late foul but yeah otherwise I can’t blame Lee, the players just didn’t execute as well as they should have, but obviously did enough to get it done
