THIS IS MUST LISTENING!!

Devin Funchess:  He has made a huge jump in terms of his play & growth as a player.  "Taken his game to another level"

Kelvin, Devin & Greg - you're creating nightmares in the Red Zone.

What are realistic expectations for Kelvin?  Will he be able to get back to speed right away?

Stephen Hill - nearly a miracle where he's at right now.  It was huge for Hill & KB to be able to rehab together.  "Now to be where they are"

Kelvin is ready right now.  The biggest test is gonna be mental.  Physically they're ready.  Both of them are stronger than they were a year ago.  "I don't see it (mental block) being any issue with Kelvin because he is already a mentally strong football player"

"We took last year's disrespect personally.  We embraced it.  It fired me up - that's who I was as a player.  I put up numbers but never got respect"

Talks about the development of Ginn as a player.  He was limited in routes in 2013, but now "there's not a route I wouldn't ask him to run"

Is Stephen Hill a true threat to make the roster?   It may have been Kelvin & Stephen Hill as our starters last year.  He was getting ready to make me famous.  He's made KB better in the offseason.  If Kelvin had to rehab by himself, he wouldn't be at the point he is now.  Hill has worked his tail off.  This guys' running full speed, getting in and out of his cuts.

Continuing.... compares Cam & Jake and their differences & similarities.   Both great leaders.  Never embarrasses any of the players or calls them out in public.  Makes the WRs want to do all he askes them to do.  Huge impact on their teammates.

Funchess was "Bambi" at the beginning of last season - like a deer in the headlights.  Now you see so much confidence.  He can play any of the positions.   Last week some of his catches "Wow he looks a lot like Benji"

This interview sure does seem like Hill is a lock to make the roster. Think about this... we have every returning starter from the #1 offense in league last year with 2 stud WRs getting added. I don't care if we put the Charlotte 49ers cornerbacks on the field on defense, with our front 7 on defense combined with an offense that can realistically put 40 up a game, the sky is the limit.

im probably going to cry when proehl is finally plucked away.

I honestly don't know if this will ever happen.  He has so much invested here.  Not just with this team, but with the area in general.  I know, know...money talks, but does he even have the aspiration to become something bigger like a head coach?  I never got that vibe from him.

I might just be saying this because I too will cry the day he's no longer here.

I cannot wait. I'm so excited to see our guys this year ball out. If what Ricky says about Hill is true, consider us as having gotten 2 extra first round picks in Hill and Kelvin this year. Our WR Corps will be absolute studs this year.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
