Bronco defender accuses Panthers O-Line of playing dirty

Quote

Wolfe told Troy Renck of Denver 7 News that he believes Panthers offensive linemen Trai Turner should be fined and the whole Panthers front was taking questionable shots at Denver defensive linemen.

“Their offensive linemen were targeting. No. 70 should be fined. Write that,” Wolfe said. “If they care about player safety they will watch what’s happening along the line. They were targeting (us). Just play hard.”

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took some major blows from Denver defenders as well during the game, though he said afterward that he didn’t believe he was being targeted by Broncos’ players.

Donkey fans trying to justify these hits on Cam by saying "Cam had his head lowered dur you guys are too soft its football you're supposed to chop peoples heads off." And these players. Absolutely pathetic. And they resort to whining about stupid missed holding calls...a poo of a franchise rotting in its filth.

I have emailed Roger Goodell [email protected] along with the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers feedback and the general email for the commissioner

i tell you truthfully if watching what happened to Newton is cast anyway less than what was obvious,  this league is a sham

Talking about CTE is just as unpopular as Collin Kapernick but no player should have had to go through what Cam did on Thursday and it's time the people on this board who claim to love Cam, the Panthers, the NFL, make the NFL respond on this one

If there are no rules in the NFL rule book, that protected those types of hits on Newton, then be a catalyst to get them changed, force some thing good from some thing horrible.

Don't  close your eyes.

Cam Newton is not Superman. He is human. He is a father, a  son, a brother, friends to many, a brilliant and gifted athlete.   More importantly, his  brain  is just as susceptible to injury,  as yours or mine

Talk on this forum is fun and entertaining and already there are those posting to 'move on' and that is exactly what the NFL wants, last week is over, move on so we can debate cleets and who stood and who didn't, and which fan base we like least, and which coach is inept,  the NFL always wins with our short attention span.

Man.........         I'm still pissed at the NFL..        I'm probably going to skip watching the games today..and tomorrow night.               I just know it's going to piss me off even more to watch the refs protect players today in a way they failed to do with Cam,  on Thursday .

Next game I watch may be us vs 9ers........and if the 9ers are allowed to head hunt..without penalty....  I may be done with the NFL.        I love watching these games,  but,    I'm not going to add to the ratings of a sport that wants to turn the brain of my qb,  into jelly.    I can't watch anymore games like I watched on Thursday night.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
