Spoiler Alert: DeAngelo left $.75 on a $128.00 bill because he received poor service, and is defending himself on social media about the server's post.

I don't care how bad the service is....  If you're making millions of dollars in your career, you should do the right thing and pay it forward. If you have a complaint, there's ways of going about it without hurting that server's income.

If any player of recent Panthers history has been on the receiving end of a 'pay it forward' contract, it's that guy.

Nah man. Bad service doesn't deserve a tip based on how wealthy the customer is. I don't owe you good money if you half-assedly take my order, mess it up, take your sweet time picking up the meal at the window and then ignore me until you decide to bring me the check. Even if you draw a smiley face on it.

Take my order and make good suggestions, take care of my family, get me the right food while it is still hot, check in with me and keep the glasses filled, then you can expect a generous tip.

Otherwise, it's not my fault you're lousy at your job. Nor is it DeAngelo's so get off his back.

And really, dude, we ain't getting back together. Let him go and he needs to let us go. We're seeing other running backs now and he seems to be in a stable relationship. It's for the best if we all act that way.

I could have Bill Gates money and wouldn't tip bad service.  However if I had that type of money I would buy the place just to fire that person.. thus the reason I don't have Bill Gates money.

j/k btw.

An assassin would be cheaper.

You don't tip if the service is shitty. I don't care if you're loaded or dirty poor. Tips should be for adequate to exceptional service. That is the reason it's called a "tip" and not part of their wage

The system is fuged and service industry workers should get a living wage, but that's the way it works right now. Don't be a shitty server if you want tips. Yes, I've worked in the service industry.

tips are built into these people's wages and a bad tip is generally considered to be 10% or so. the correct tip amount for basically good service is 20%. if you are giving less than $1.00 on a bill over $100, that isn't just showing someone disapproval, that's just being a shitty person looking for an excuse to leave no tip at all.

the way you guys above are talking makes me think you generally tip less than 20% and are always looking for a reason to give even less.

basically what he did is tell someone you didn't do your job good enough so you must forego all money for it. that is unacceptable. sorry, but tips themselves are not optional, when you go out and get a meal you have to tip a reasonable amount. if you don't want to tip anything then don't go out to eat or get it to go.

    • I get it, but it's just like "dropping dimes" doesn't have a definition either but is saying the same thing. They're like what the Supreme Court said about Porn, "you know it when you see it" And I think you have to be watching with some crazy ridiculous Bryce goggles to think he was "slinging dots downfield" as the OP said.  I'm not taking anything away from Bryce for making the necessary throw in those situations and got two TDs on two 4th down plays.   But they weren't "sligning dots downfield" and they weren't "dropping dimes", they were pretty basic throws for any NFL QB, not even starting QB, just any QB.  They were 15-20 yard touch throws for the WR to run under it, with no safety over the top of them or need to let them get down in bounds.  They were in essence practice throws with no DB covering them, just in a high pressure game situation. 100% perfect throws for what was needed, which in itself is a credit to Bryce as he's struggled with that on easy throws in the past.  And hell, this literally might have been his best game of his career all things considered. But "slinging dots downfield" is just an absurd statement to say after today, sorry.
    • Idk, but I was just scrolling shorts and this video popped up calling the Tmac pass an “absolute dot” so, unless this is you, it seems like it might meet more people’s definition of “dot” than he thinks. Anybody crashing out over calling these passes “dots” really can’t be taken seriously on any Bryce Young related topic because he clearly affects their ability to think straight.
