NFL Drops Hammer on Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks were once again penalized for violating NFL-NFLPA rules that prohibit excessive contact in all offseason workouts.

On Monday the NFL announced the team will be fined $400,000 and will forfeit its first week of 2017 organized team activities (three OTA days). Seattle will also forfeit its fifth-round selection in the 2017 draft. Coach Pete Carroll will be fined $200,000.

The NFL and NFLPA independently reviewed the Seahawks' June 6 on-field practice video and agreed the team violated the "no-live-contact" rule of the collective bargaining agreement.

Weak if you ask me.

Three days (minimal hit)

5th rounder.... special teams player that last a year or two.

Wanna hit them hard.  Cancel all OTAs and take their 1st rounder.

They won't break the rules again.

Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman were both 5th round picks.

I'm not gonna laugh too hard at them for breaking what I consider a bogus rule the players whined to get.....

Rules are rules for a reason. If you don't agree with them you don't break them you try to get them changed. I'm sure Rivera would love to have 3 a days every day during TC but you don't see him breaking the rules trying to do what he wants.
