Guess who got the best week 2 grade for a corner?

Captain Morgan

CB James Bradberry, Carolina. One of the two rookie starting cornerbacks for the Panthers’ defense in 2016, Bradberry was much improved in Week 2. He was targeted seven times against the 49ers, allowing one catch for six yards. He intercepted Blaine Gabbert and had one pass defensed, finishing with a 93.1 coverage grade. That was the best Week 2 grade for a corner.

What was JNo's grade?

J-No had the second best grade of the week with a 91.9

" Through two games, Redskins CB Josh Norman is the league’s leading cornerback, with a 91.6 overall grade—a higher mark even than his 87.9 from last season."

They gave the blame for the TD to Boston by the way.

wasnt he the one who gave up the TD to torrey smith? i feel like those stats are misleading since we technically are in zone. but he got burned on that TD

Boston was supposed to cover the middle of the field which was the entire reason that Bradberry gave Smith the inside leverage that allowed him to get open

omg you mean our NFL level coaches and GM might actually know what they are doing....no wayyyyy

well somewhat.  Worley seems to be struggling and the 3rd corner in Sanchez was cut and not on the 53.  I cant help but think if we kept norman and drafted bradberry if carolina would be in a better position to make another run at a SB.

He did give up the TD...it was Bostons responsibility to sit on the TE in that situation not help over the top and we traded same plays with SF using the same coverage and both teams scored a TD against it.

Even still that's a tough play and he still is going to be sick...it's not like he's getting so toasted he's not even in on the play or out of the frame or getting twisted up or anything.

Also coulda been nice to pair JNo and this guy together even if only for a year...no law against drafting a CB to replace your franchise tag CB the following year....that money is being used on a punter and no one so far....not that Lee isn't doing work but still.

it was really only 1 troll thread by you know who...no one in their right mind thought 4 for 44 or whatever it was was bad.

This game was a bit worse than the grade he got there because he did give up that TD but still....1TD, 1Int, and 35 yards including the TD that should have been charged to him....i'll take that from a rookie in his 2nd game....with less pass rush than Norman had in his time here.
