Panthers biggest problem, as I see it....

and that equates to the other teams Defenses making good adjustments against our offense while Shula and Rivera stubbornly continue the game plan that is no longer working..we were out coached big time by Zimmer yesterday

Exactly this. RR and Shula obviously have no clue about adjusting to in game situations. That applies to opponents performances as well as to clock management.

Here is what I wrote in the "we miss Stew" thread, echoing what everybody else is saying in this thread. It's 100% lack of coaching adjustments.

Adjustments are this team's biggest problem and that falls on the shoulders of the coaching staff. Rivera, McDermott, and Shula are the ones who never adjust. The first quarter when Cam was 9/9 passing and looked great, CAP also looked really good.

Why?

Because the offensive line was maintaining their blocks and opening up running lanes all day. Then the Vikings adjusted and started fake-blitzing linebackers and dropping them into coverage and our O-line didn't know who to block and Cam ended up getting sacked like 9 times. Shula didn't adjust.

When our defense had them held to like 50 total yards for a good chunk of the first half everybody was playing great. Then the Vikings offense adjusted and Bradford starts dinking and dunking to the tight end and our defense went into a shell and couldn't get a stop or get off the field. McDermott didn't adjust.

And special teams always has been and always will be our Achilles heel, they are just atrocious and I've come to expect that they poo the bed every single game in some way.

We don't lose to good or bad teams, we seem to lose to good or bad coaches that either adjust or do not. I love Rivera, but he better start learning to be a little bit more flexible with his game plans or he'll find himself fired before he finds himself coaching in the Super Bowl.

First half they ran the ball, second half they abandoned the run almost completely and asked the o-line to pass protect forever.

Once offense and special teams each gave up points and the Vikes actually mustered a real touchdown it seems that the defense and Shula panicked.

Shula gave up on the run although CAP and Fozzy were actually doing well. Once the Vikes figured that out the just pinned their ears back. We run the ball and we throw it down field for big chunks not dinks and dunks.

Also as soon as I heard the media talking about our 14game home winning streak and then I saw who the head ref was and I knew they would try their best to end it.

Our pass rush is weak so that's what we have to practice against giving a false sense of security. We play elite Dlines like we used to have and we get stomped.

The focus should always be on a strong Dline, that's always who we've been. We're not the Falcons or Saints. What is this garbage.

Easy fix? Sorry......GH jr

We are playing Foxball again.

i felt like that watching the game

when fox's teams got rolling and things were clicking they were pretty much unstoppable.  if things got more than a tiny bit off script or out of sync you were probably in for a long afternoon.  and it happened a lot after delhomme started declining.

    • Jalen Carter came into camp out of shape too. That was part of the reason he dropped considering he was thought of as the better defensive player pre-draft activities. It’s not a good sign when you don’t look great but it’s definitely premature.
    • We won 5 with the worst defense in the history of defenses.  I think free agency and our draft puts us over 6.5.
    • Leaning towards just ordering this tonight, but now I have no idea on size. Has anyone bought a bunch of jerseys in the last few years and can convey how the Game vs Limited vs Reebok versions all fit? These are both Mediums... The white one here is a Reebok one from 2010, and was when they had the "+2 length" on the tag and it was the version with the stitched numbers instead of iron on... the blue one is from 2022 and is the F.U.S.E Limited version also with stitched stuff, not the "game jersey" with the ironed on numbers/letters that they have the T-Mac jerseys in. The old one fits me fine, the blue one was always a tad snug on me, particularly in the shoulders I'm leaning going with a Large based on the CMC, but for all I know, that is made with a tighter cut due to the higher "limited" level and the "game" ones they have for T-Mac are cut more like a T-Shirt and thus will fit more like the old white one I have here, not sure. (and yes, I already tried going to a sporting goods store here to hopefully try on a Lions jersey to see, but they don't have any right now)
