Why not roll Cam out of the pocket to throw?

It's a crying shame a talent like Cam is stuck in mike f-ing shulas uninventive offense.  While watching other teams that have a competent OC calling plays with time to spare on the play clock that actually work in flow of the game.  Makes me hate Shula even more.

Cam could be unreal in a offense built around his strong suits. And not the QB run that Shula uses over and over again

IMO, the main reason you don't roll out, is because you then are only using half the field.

Stay in the pocket, and you still get the whole field.

Half the field?...the whole field?...I'll take the whole field.

Well it is kinda hard to get the whole field when you're laying on your back.

Yet it is funny Cam is not on his back on every pass play.

If it was so advantageous to roll your QB out of the pocket. Why don't more teams do it? Because you limit the amount of field you can use.

But hey, if you want to limit Cam, have at it.

Defenses don't play us like they play Dallas. They man our WR's and blitz our QB. Why, because our o-line is weak, so the blitz stuffs the run and Cam isn't great at beating it. And to add insult to injury, our OC calls long developing pass routes and our WR's create minimal separation and if one does Cam probably didn't have time to find him.

Thats because theres a difference between a designed roll out and running for your life and making a play

Plus it was across the bidy which most qbs are not suppose to attempt...thats why it was not as accurate most qbs don't have the arm strength

If you roll out and you have pressure right in your face, then we're back in square one. That and the play I mention was run exactly as intended.

Not saying that we shouldn't roll out Cam more but our O-line is struggling as is to do their job creating a stable pocket. It might work or Cam could have a rusher running right at him.
