If you watch the film of last night's final play carefully, you might notice that Patriots lineman Marcus Cannon appears to get away with a hold on Falcons linebacker Deion Jones. It looks like he actually gets hold of his jersey and pulls him down from behind.

Neither here nor there, just an observation.

He'd already over-pursued. If anything, that redirection made it look like he might have actually had a chance to make a play. Could've been called, but that's one of those "a hold could be called on virtually every play" type of holds.

it would have to be pretty obvious for the refs to call it in that situation.

I was honestly surprised at how solid the officiating overall was last night. The only blatant miss I can think of was the FG block leap that shouldn't have been called. They nailed every questionable call, every catch, and were very fair with penalties called. 

Props where it's due, officiating was great.

I'm not especially concerned about it, but I'd be willing to bet a lot of Falcon fans would go apes--t over something like this.

Cons secondary and lb's were holding all night, if refs were throwing flags on every play we'd be complaining about that... give the officials credit, they called a pretty good game...

It's crazy that the patriots had 93 plays and only one holding call. Patriots have always gotten favorable officiating
