Highest I could tolerate is #64. We've already committed to the Kalil project and there's too much talent in the 2nd to take on another.

Agreed. As much as I don't like him at LT, I wouldn't be upset at 64. He could be solid to very good on that side. And with both guards needing contracts, he could slide inside down the road.

As much as everyone seems to think we need a new safety, and I am not saying they are wrong, a guard in this years draft I would say is a bigger need.  Both Norwell and Turner are free agents next year.  As well as Short and Star.  I don't see how we are going to sign all 4 of them.  But I never though we would re sign Stewart 2 years after we signed Williams, so you never know.

I'm already working under the assumption that Short is gone after this year. Butler will be our starting three technique going forward.

Definitely would not mind at 40. Hell no at 8.

As long as the off-field stuff checks out, this.

But I'm not sure the off-field stuff will check out. On the surface, it looks like something pretty serious that was swept under the rug by a small town DA who didn't want to be the guy who buried a hometown hero.

    • At this point the Tepper's seem to be leading you around by the nose based on how much time you spend carrying water for them so I'm not surprised you're struggling. We are the only team who saw fit to install Andy Dalton with his zero career playoff wins as a culture cornerstone and a key mentor. Even the putrid Saints wanted no parts of that. Truth hurts 🤷‍♂️
    • They have drafted two QB's since they took Hurts in the 2020 Draft. Tanner McKee(6th - 2023) and Kyle McCord(6th - 2025). In that span we have drafted Bryce Young(1st - 2023) and Matt Corral(3rd - 2022). Technically, we have invested significantly higher draft capital on QB's(albeit one less than they). It's not the investement that is the issue, it's the results. Corral was literally not a rosterable player with a THIRD ROUND PICK. We gave up a king's ransom for Bryce to basically get Davis Mills results(so far).
    • No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.
