You've probably also never been assaulted by a woman after trying to walk away from her either. I'm sure there's something in your closet that will have NFL teams and a board of fans talking about your "character".

You make a valid point, however, it's not the facts that concern teams.  It's more so the court of public opinion.

Teams have to take into consideration both the talent they need to compete and the potential backlash from adding a player with a DV history.

The Panthers are a little more sensitive to this than others as they've been thrown into the fire a couple times and I'm willing to bet they don't want to get burned again.

Right or wrong it's just kinda the way it is.

Pick 8 : Derrick Barnett , DE, Tennessee

Pick 40 : Alvin Kamara , RB, Tennessee

Pick 64 : Justin Evans , SS , Texas A&M

Pick 98 : Ardarius Stewart, WR, Alabama

Pick 115 : Jalen Myrick , CB, Minnesota

This is horrible.

WalterFootball continues to show their ignorance with regard to Carolina Panther's football.

To hell with WalterFootball. I Owned it with a realistic draft.
DE that can play right away.
3 down running back in the second round.
RT and possibly future LT.
Combo guard and heir apparent at Center. Gives us insurance for the guards becoming free agents and can take over for Kalil long term.
Starting safety in the 5th round (get some)
A sleeper DT who may not even be draft eligible
A backup (and a white guy to boot) for Luke. ;)
YOUR PICKS
1: R1P8
DL SOLOMON THOMAS
STANFORD
2: R2P8
RB DALVIN COOK
FLORIDA ST
3: R2P32
OT RODERICK JOHNSON
FLORIDA ST
4: R3P34
C PAT ELFLEIN
OHIO ST
5: R4P8
S JUSTIN EVANS
TEXAS A&M
6: R5P8
TE JORDAN LEGGETT

That's fine because basically what you're saying is that teams are cowards. I can promise you if Joe Mixon went to the patriots and they win another super bowl with him as the lead back, ok Bill will be praised for his genius. The truth about the NFL is if you win or are good, most of that poo goes away. It's why no women are outside protesting that rapist up in Pittsburgh, it's why Tom can get away with cheating, it's why everyone forgot Ray Lewis was involved in a murder, it's why Vick and Plaxico came out of jail and got jobs. But DV is just the flavor of the month issue for the NFL right now, they don't really care and to be quite honest they shouldn't. Nobody wants their employer getting into their personal business. Often times DV is a tricky isssue and it's not always as black and white as man hits woman, man needs to be punished. There are a lot of layers to it as with the Joe Mixon case. The kid can ball and doesn't deserve to lose out on millions for one isolated incident after he was already punished for it.

Hey I agree with your point.  Just trying to illustrate why some teams won't take that chance.

Pick 8 : Jonathan Allen (DT/DE[LOL]) , R2P8 : Obi Melifonwu (SS)  . R2P32 : Justin Evans (SS) , R3P34 :  Tanoh Kpassagnon (DE) , R4P8 : Jake Butt (TE) , R5P8 : Jamaal Williams (RB) , R6P8 : KD Cannon (WR), R7P15 : Ben Boulware (LB)

This is terrifyingly close to my "realistic" mocks, only I have Perine instead of Evans, Kazee instead of Williams, and Dural instead of Cannon.

If Joe Mixon has "character" issues then we all do.

I will add though that regardless of that his drafting would be a distraction and bad PR, so that needs to factor in. Shouldn't take him off our board completely, but I fear it will. And all it takes is one more incident and you've got a huge problem player on the team.

O there's plenty of things that will label you as a guy with character concerns

What does that have to do with the fact that his character concerns come from him hitting a woman?

You can speak for yourself only. I guess if it was self-defense by him, as you claim, he was in his right to pull out a gun and shoot her. He used deadly force. That sort of punch could have seriously injured anyone. Much less a girl. What kind of pussy can't stop a girl from hitting him without taking her out with a falcon punch? And I've had it happen before. My 1st wife got so mad that I caught her stealing money, she hit me about 30 times in the back of the head as I walked away. In front of her own 17 yo son(my stepson). I kept walking into garage, closed door to get away from him. She then proceeds to hit me with a metal broom and cut my chest. I grabbed both arms, told her there was no way I was hitting her back and to stop. That's how a man handles it. You act like Rhonda Rousey jumped him.

So don't lump everyone in with you and that POS Mixon. Some of us can understand proportioned response. Unless she had a gun or knife, this was just a pussy being a pussy. There are about 50 responses before a knockout blow.

That was a woman you loved you walked away from in the presence of your son, not even close to being comparable.

Little bitch in that restaurant had to be taught a lesson, right?

Like he said, without a weapon that girl presented no real threat to him. He could've walked away and if he chose to do so, he could've called and potentially filed charges on HER. But, what he did was way over the line of an acceptable response.

Do. Not. Want.

Hope the guy learned his lesson and is a better man for it, but I don't want the negative attention and the distraction even if he is a changed man. The media would jump all over Greg Hardy's  former team drafting that guy.

Dude for once I wish we would look past this and draft Mixon, he's a phenomenal talent but let's not act like this is a normal reaction the response was no we're close to being equal to the trigger.
