JR won't have this franchise much longer..

I would like to say that I know someone that sat next to JR on a flight one time and he was just amazed at the person he is.  Great person.  He sent a signed helmet to my son because of the conversation they had about the Panthers.  He loves the Panthers immensely and loves his players like his kids.  I dont agree with the decision but JR is an amazingly caring person.  This person was my ex wifes father who is a original PSLer who loves this franchise..went to all the Clemson games.  Just for context.

He is eighty one years old with an eight year old heart transplant. He looks frail and not in top health. This team will probably be sold as his health further declines. Let's hope that when this happens, the new owner (or owners), plan on keeping our team here. Also the top priority of any new owner will be to WIN and be profitable. I'm not sure this is the top priority here right now.

I thank JR for bringing N.C. an NFL team. We probably wouldn't have one without him. Panthers need a new path and hopefully when they are sold, they will find one. The one we have just embarked on now is not the right one.

I've met a bunch of great men that were terrible at winning. Great people yes but not ones you loan 1000.00

Anyone who said JR sucked as a owner got poo from 90% of this board before now, funny how this forum has now changed, JR has always meddled and fuged this team over, this isn't something new just because you people have  finally been forced out of your denial. JR isn't related to me, hasn't done anything for me or family I don't care what happens to him, I'm not offended by this, that's dumb emotion into a complete stranger. I'm a fan I just care about winning just like when I go into a resteraunt all I care about is enjoying the food idgaf what the owner is doing. You guys know  you don't HAVE to like everything he does just because he owns the Panthers right? He sucks at this job and we need a new owner.

Thinking this franchise won't get better with a new owner is LITERALLY like scoring 30% out of %100 on a quiz and not wanting to redo it because you think you can't do better. The odds are in your favor by a long shot.

This thread is completely classless.
I understand you have an opinion, but ya don't start a conversation that basically says you hope medical issues take our owner.
Y'all are a fuging joke to the human race.

Your reading skills must be in need of improvement. No where did I imply that I hope JR succumbs to health issues or dies. The man is 81 years old with a heart transplant and looks frail, thats a fact. If you can't deal with life's realities, then that's your issues.

C'mon man. This guy brought you the Panthers and you're rooting for his death?

Again, please tell me where I said that I was rooting for his death.

The title of the topic is "JR won't have this franchise much longer..." and my response was simply- that day can't get here soon enough. That day being the day that he relinquishes majority ownership of this team (not his death).

As OP stated, "This team will probably be sold as his health further declines"

My response was to the notion of him selling the team.

People are idiots. They think whoever wants change is just rooting for death. I cannot wait for new ownership. Selling is also an option.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
