IIRC Miley showed some flashes during preseason with us but we were just too deep to keep him around.

Havent followed him much since his departure...apparently hasn't even played a regular season game so there's that.

A shame that Marlowe could never stay healthy. Really needed some depth at safety, not more at the DE position. They better sign one after the first round of cuts.

To be honest, Marlowe had talent....Just couldn't seem to get healthy. Looked promising but i'm guessing the staff got tired of the waiting game.

I hope we pick up another safety option at some point. Isn't Marlowe the guy we put our chips on when we cut Tre Boston? It's not like Tre was a world beater, but he was a good rotational safety. Certainly better depth than what is currently on the roster now. I know you can't help when a guy gets hurt, but cutting Tre seemed a little short sighted at the time, especially since we didn't draft a safety and it definitely seems short sighted now.

Feel bad for Marlowe though.

I think we're rolling with LJ McCray and Colin Jones as backup safeties.

I feel for the guy. He showed promise but definitely couldn't stay healthy and wasn't talented enough to wait for

Didn't want him fired, but never cared for Gettleman's tendency to scapegoat secondary players. 

Boston wasn't a starting caliber safety, but damned if he wouldn't provide some much needed depth right about now.

Seems like that with Gman if you were given a chance to start and didn't pan out in that capacity, you didn't just return to a reserve role, you got straight bounced.
