Is SS Mike Adams a concern at this point?

Adams may have had the worst game overall on the starting defensive unity against the Titans. 

The touchdown in the corner of the end zone was on him. 

His tackling in run support was rather Tre Boston'esque. 

 

So.... Are you concerned about the SS position, and if so, do you think the Panthers look to upgrade once cuts happen?

Feel like Gettleman originally wanted to finally shore the SS up for good when we first went for Barry Church. Seeing as we had no other option, he hoped Mike Adams would be a decent stop gap.

I thinks Adams is a slightly better version of 2015 Harper. He makes a lot of mistakes like this on film. But he also has a lot of good.

Nevertheless, yes, we'll need to be looking for a SS next year and soon.

Even though they play different positions, I can't help but to get the Antoine Cason feeling with this dude. We need to find an upgrade ASAP, and not wait until the middle of the season to look.

I would hope that we would look to upgrade. Now them actually doing it... not so sure. Hopefully someone better than Adams is out there.

He definitely didn't have a great game. But it could be a one off. He's looked good in practice and I think he will get interceptions. He's not the future but we're not gonna find another starting calibre safety at this point even if you don't like him. Because hes shown a lot of good i think I can forgive him one preseason game when lots of people didn't show up.

Hes probably just a JAG at this point. If we can get a guy that has higher potential we should go after him.

Quality depth at S is a concern, even if 27 was playing like he's 27. I hope they can pick up somebody decent from a team that's loaded at that position.

Same could be said for Mike Mitchell when the Raiders let him walk, Roman Harper when the Saints let him walk.
