Panthers are the most unpredictable team in the nfl to the point they're almost predictably unpredictable.

Carowinds could literally design a new ride based on that poo

Kinda of topic and I know you're joking, but I was there last weekend, the new coaster, Fury 325 could possibly describe our ride as a franchise. It's great, and make sure you ride it in front/back & left/right. Different rides each time!

Yeah this is nothing new , or shouldnt be surprising to anyone that's been a fan for more than a few years. We never even put together 2 back to back winning seasons in more than 20 years of being a team, that usually implies there is some problem with the highest level of organizational management, because who else has been the constant factor when we've fielded very different teams with different players and coaches over the years, and still get the same results?

This is also a huge reason why alot of other NFL fans don't respect the team , simply because the panthers really just haven't earned it, we are the definition of inconsistency and mediocrity for most years. Well, that and the Super Bowl fiasco that turned Cam into a running joke for 99 percent of non-Panther fans.

Whoever put that Gruden quote up there, that is a perfect statement. You can't just rest on your laurels and expect to have consecutive winning seasons, it doesnt work that way. 2016 season was the perfect example for that quote, we went into that season with the same exact OTs that got abused in the SB, we let much of our secondary go , and refused to cut and replace dead weight from pass rushing perspective and replace them with something much more efficient (CJ and Ealy).  We pretty much tried to do the same poo after everyone had already figured us out by the time Denver beat us twice in a row, and not put any effort into actually improving the team and we paid dearly for it.

We did almost the total opposite this offseason. Got some great veteran FAs , upgraded the tackles, cut ealy, and added some long overdue young speed and elusiveness to our offense. And add in changing the offense to more quick passes and dumpoffs. At the very least we'll have a much better season than last year because there was a large concerted effort to improve alot of different weakpoints of our team.

That right there just screams that we are always content after a winning season. We NEVER try to build on previous successful seasons, but rather try to keep all the same pieces and expect the same success the very next year. You have to be always on the move or else you get left behind.

It could be worse. We, as fans, could have to ride through the futility that has been the Browns since they were reborn (and for the 20 years prior to that), the Bengals for much of their history, the Saints for all but the last 10 years, the Falcons for the same span (with fewer good in there), the Bucs for all but one or two seasons in their history, the Bills since what 1992? Perhaps the Cardinals with their long, long history of stinkage, or the lowly Lions who haven't been relevant since the 1940s.

It has been a roller coaster ride, but it sure beats the long and tedious slide a lot of fans have to put up with.

Back to back winning seasons would be nice, though...

We stay healthy we usually do well, at least over the last several years.  We get a few guys hurt we usually crumble like a house of cards.  It will be the same this year.

cant deny health is  a huge factor. If you take away the best offense player and best defense player and most of the oline from any other team their performance would likely go in the shitter as well in comparison to how they would have done if everyone was healthy.

I gave you a toast to acknowledge the truth in you're statement.  Didn't want to jinx it with pie.
