Our old pal Vontaze Burfict got in some trouble

At what point does the NFL tell this guy to just GTFO and don't come back? I mean, you can essentially get a lifetime ban for smoking weed but repeatedly potentially put other players careers at risk with blatantly dirty illegal hits and you can just get a relatively short suspension and keep coming back.

Clearly a penalty but even with the prior offender stuff is that really a 5 game suspension? That's a joke. Should be like 1 or 2 at most if any at all. Tons of players have had multiple hits just like that or worse and don't get suspended. The ankle twisting is what was deserving of a 3-5 game plus suspension. Not this hit.

really? looks like he hits a defenseless player, knowing the ball wasn't coming in the defenseless players way.

When the league is going out of it's way to say they want to protect players, and let Cam take head hit after head hit and call nothing. This should maybe? possibly?....could happen? give some hope that the NFL will call out bullshite dirty plays and dirty players at every chance.

I don't understand how this guy is even in the league anymore.    You have people getting suspensions and getting expelled due to weed (they know the rules I get it) but this guy is out there trying to hurt/injury people and keeps playing.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
