You could be right.  Is he moving his family / kids to LA from San Diego?  Its about 120 miles.  With traffic it could be 2-3 hours by car.

It'd take a lot of effort if he did.

Rivers has been conducting a personal protest of China's "one child only" policy for quite a while now.

Official first action - Name @SCP head of football operations.

Official second action - Topcat recruitment initiative.

There should be a consultant job for me in there somewhere.

After some thought, I wish I got my vote back so I can change out to fire them all. We've got to be THE most conservative team in the league from the offensive side and the defensive side (when we have the lead in regards to the defense). Somethings gotta give but we can't have Riverboat Ron and Paddle Boat Ron flip flopping like he does at the wrong time.

First off you need to remember who the owner is, pretty sure he still has final say on what moves will/will not be made, and he has shown that he's willing to basically let the team implode from within before he'll fire anyone...

If we have a winning season everyone stays... yeh, even Shula

First thing I'm doing is hiring Marty Hurney on to a consulting role.  Pick his brain and get him really involved in the decision making process.

Just when he feels like he's an integral part of the org, I'm gonna fire his ass.

Also Mike Shula will be named HC at my initial presser.  In that same Presser I will fire him.

At this point I will name Dave Gettleman interim GM and resign effective immediately before I fug something up.

There's a real challenge here, because it's easy to say "Fire Rivera" but harder than it sounds to get someone who would be better.

Managing people is a tricky business, and for a head coach, that's where they are spending a majority of their time. The x's and o's are more for the coordinators.

It is very hard to manage a group of people for more than 4 or 5 years without them tuning you out. The message gets tired and stale. Shortcomings are magnified.

Sure, there are some exceptional coaches and managers that are successful long term with the same team, but these people are very rare.

Ron may be a very good coach, but both he and the team may be about ready for a change of scenery.

PS. Those who want to trade Cam for a first and Rivers have lost their minds.

For those that just want to fire Shula and keep RR, how much influence does Ron have on the offense?

Head coaches who call their own plays are always easy to blame.  Personally I think we play offense in a way to help our defense.  This is one of the reasons I think our defense is overrated at times.

I know some people are really down on Cam, but personally there is no way I would give up on him yet.  Franchise QBs are too hard to find.  If you surround him with proven offensive coaches and he continues to struggle you face that problem later.
