"It is a big concern after he was listed as a DNP on Monday's report. He almost certainly needs to get in some work on Wednesday in order to play Thursday night against the Eagles. Rookie Curtis Samuel and Russell Shepard would likely see more work if Funchess cannot go"

Darn, next man up.

given the short week, i think the Panthers are just resting him.

he should practice lightly on wed and be good to go Thurs night.

I say we pull an NBA move and sit the starters. What do we have to gain by risking players on Thursday Night? At 4-1 there is a little wiggle room.

4 teams have one loss (CAR, ATL, PHI, GB),

7 have two losses (NO, TB, DET, MIN, SEA, LAR, WAS)

6 teams make the playoffs. I'm not seeing this wiggle room you speak of.

One good thing is we are off to a good start with tiebreakers, having beaten Buffalo who beat ATL, and the Pats who beat the Saints.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
