Yet another problem.

It would seem to me that a simpler offense might be in order. Zone blocking instead of whatever scheme we currently employ. More slants and some wheel routes with CMC. Cam is going to be in a wheelchair in 5 years if we do not get him some protection. Shula is the perfect example of the Peter Principle imo.

With Greg being out, someone needs to take control of the offensive huddle and make sure people know their assignments. Always has been an issue and with him out, it's only gone downhill.

But isn't that person who takes control of the offensive huddle and makes sure people know their assignments supposed to be the Quarterback?

QB should be doing it. Except for offensive linemen, he's the only one out there on every play now that Olsen is injured.

When Cam does make the correct decision in the read option, Dickson and Funchess both whiff on their blocks. Cam had a wide open field if those two could just block someone half their size.

Why does blocking look like a mosh pit on Carolina Panthers running plays?

It’s kind of a catch 22 for Funchess here...he doesn’t know (and would have no way of knowing) if Cam handed the ball off or kept it...so he freezes and does literally nothing.

This sucks.

Since it was obviously a run call, putting a hat on ANYBODY even if you don’t know if its the right body is better than putting a hat on NOBODY.

This 100%.  As a RB, it's receive PA fake...then find someone to block unless you're the screen recipient or dump off pass option.  WRs on running plays should find someone to lock up with every play.  Don't take plays off...PERIOD.  The moment a DB sees a half ass route or attempt at block they know the run is on and if the WR played two hand tag or ole' him....he's chasing the ball.  Hines Ward and Larry Fitz watch these in disgust.
