I wonder if anyone has actually gone back and looked at all the games to see the first plays.  I wonder if everyones percieved idea of shula always running on 1st downs are correct.  Anyway I think it will be a short pass to a back.

edit: nevermind I see @outlaw4 has done this, and I see a lot of runs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we use a timeout because we can’t get the play off in time.

8 plays 6 yards now that’s coming out and putting the other team on their  heels Smdh

All this talk about a get right game. As is I’d say our offense is a “get right game “ for every defense in the NFL

I get that Shula is the punching bag right now, but I honestly think he might be starting to feel the heat a bit, and after that dismal showing last week he probably feels like he has something to prove. Maybe he even takes some of the criticism to heart and changes some things up. So after a week of introspection and reevaluating the play calling, a whole week dedicated to calling a terrific first series that will finally get us in a rhythm and give us confidence, I think our first play will be something along the lines of: delay of game, offense.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
