I can't argue with that.  If we don't make the dance, then that's one thing, but a playoff appearance in light of continued personnel issues, that's good in my book. At the very least it's hard to fire a guy with such a resumé.

You mean he is a lock to come back in his final contract year??? Yeah JR doesn’t fire coaches under contract anymore.

He is a solid coach. A lot of teams would kill to have a coach of his resume leading their team. I’m cool with him coming back.

Get a decent OC on the staff and the Rivera hate would largely disappear.

 

Sure there would be things that he would do that would be head scratchers from time to time but the relentless calling for his head would end.

Cam and the defense have been successful in spite of RR and Shula. They both need to go.

It took Jerry all he had to fire Hurney, and it was everything he could do to get him back.  That won't even be an issue with Rivera.  He's safe as long as JR is alive.
