What will new ownership do with the JR statue?

After having woken up to the news this morning and things evolving so quickly, do you think the statue stays or goes? With the current atmosphere sweeping every industry,  will the new ownership want this team to be associated with a previous owner accused of abuse and discrimination or wipe the slate clean?  Would it be proper to keep it standing regardless?

I hate to see the black eye that this will give the organisation as the first NFL team to have to deal with this on the ownership side of things. Team just can't catch a break ....from Caruth to this, it's been a bumpy ride. Hopefully a new start will begin a new era.

Allegations aside, I hope they take it down because it's hideous and looks out of place.

The panthers on each side are awesome. Could cut those off and put them someplace else, like along the path to the practice field, entrance to City Hall, Heath Evan's front yard.....

Take that statue down, asap.     When someone(s) buys the Panthers, it will also be their responsibility to change the culture, and it starts with this stupid statue and then we can move on.    You can't change the culture of a business/franchise while everyone sees this goofy thing every day (and it was stupid and too much BEFORE this news came out).

I just don't know. He may end up being a real scumbag but he did bring the NFL to the Carolinas. At least, keep him out of the Ring of Honor.

Fun fact, the city and it’s tax payers, demand, and PSL owners have much more to do with a team being brought to a city than one single man.

Should be a statue dedicated to any of those.

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
