You can’t sit here and tell me this team is doing everything they can to win

We have what we had Hurney's entire career.  For all of his years here, he seemed to be under the impression that we only needed one good WR to win, the other one's main purpose was to block for the run game.  That is why his draft picks at WR have been a litany of failures.  Its likely why we traded KB.    And probably why we will not sign or draft a WR (before the third round) next year.

I wish we had one good wide receiver

RR on Charles Johnson: He'll go back in the rotation, but he's got to be in shape and ready to roll.

Panthers' WR corps for playoffs (assuming no more injuries) will be Devin Funchess, Russell Shepard, Kaelin Clay, Brenton Bersin and Mose Frazier.

There will be no availability with Mike Shula and Steve Wilks today, they are busy catching up after the holiday yesterday. No players here today, either; Ron Rivera audio will be up to stream soon.

How did Byrd stay buried on our roster this long anyway?

I thought Gettleman and Rivera were executive and coach of the year?

They let Ginn walk out the door and kept Byrd buried behind a bum we signed off the bottom of the Buccaneers roster. Just unforgivable.

Gettleman didn't set the depth chart or determine playing time. Oh and maybe it takes players time to develop... Particularly a UDFA.

Funchess is good.  Not great (like Steve Smith was) but good enough if we had someone on the other side who could force the defense to react.  But he is not, and likely never will be a guy who can get open consistently while double covered.  Nor is he a guy like KB who can catch the tough one's when someone bodies up on him.

Woof. Injuries and trades certainly played a part in this unit but that right there is why every playoff game will be an uphill battle. Teams will sell-out to stop the run, put their best corner on Funchess, and one of three WR’s who wouldn’t be on many other rosters in the NFL are going to have to play out their minds and step up. Need to address this position in free agency in a big way this off-season. That is ugly.

Yep. After LT, WR is quickly becoming the "most needed" position on our roster. I bet that is one that not many would have predicted coming into this season.

If they aren't even going to look to sign another WR, then that's ridiculous. fug Rivera and Hurney

I would assume at this rate they would basically have to sign SOMEONE. One more injury and you are basically down to nothing. And we know that Funchess has been playing hurt about half the season.

Lattimore will lock up Funchess and will need zero help.

Saints will be able to shift focus onto Olsen and it’s going to be really tough for us to move the ball.

Not to mention Byrd has the best hands in that WR room

Fantastic. Fuggin fantastic.

His injury must be serious if were already placing him on IR. Guess there’s no shot of him being ready if we make a deep run.

All I know is Clay ain’t it. There was a ball thrown yesterday on the final drive that went right through his hands. I wouldn’t trust him at all, but I guess Cam has no choice.
