Gettleman didn't set the depth chart or determine playing time. Oh and maybe it takes players time to develop... Particularly a UDFA.

Or maybe you give them too much credit and they actually made a mistake.

For all the poo people give Hurney, and I don't want him as GM, I doubt he let's Ginn walk if it were up to him.

What does it tell you when it takes Marty Hurney of all people to finally give Byrd his chance to shine?

Lattimore will lock up Funchess and will need zero help.

Saints will be able to poo focus onto Olsen and it’s going to be really tough for us to move the ball.

Not to mention Byrd has the best hands in that WR room

Bingo. No matter who we play in the playoffs Funchess will see a stud corner across from him 1v1 for an entire game. The defense will just need to stop the run and the wheels will come off quickly barring some Cam to Clay late game heroics.

Assuming we play the Aints, I mostly agree with you, although Lattimore will certainly get help, and will occasionally need it.  But our only chance to win really is if we play mistake free football ourselves, and somehow manage to stop the Saints on the defensive side, and perhaps force a few turnovers.  Unlikely, but anything is possible.

Fantastic. Fuggin fantastic.

His injury must be serious if were already placing him on IR. Guess there’s no shot of him being ready if we make a deep run.

All I know is Clay ain’t it. There was a ball thrown yesterday on the final drive that went right through his hands. I wouldn’t trust him at all, but I guess Cam has no choice.

Bersin was hit right in the hands which resulted in a INT

Shepard has dropped everything his way this year

McCaffery hasn’t been good when called upon the last 3 weeks in big spots (INT against Minny off his hands, onside kick against GB and couldn’t shake the corner on a 3rd down play against TB resulting in a sack)

Funchess has been a ghost the last 2 weeks

2 to 3 interceptions incoming, because Cam will be pressing trying to make something shake. Funchess has been absent the past 2 weeks, and that will continue because Lattimore is going to lock him up. Going to suck seeing the Saint defenders posing and taking photos smh

You aren't actually under the impression that the general manager has zero input whatsoever on the roster, are you?

You aren't actually under the impression that the general manager tells the head coach when to play the players on the roster are you?

7 years... and we still have the same weaknesses on offense

So pathetic

The entire point of the KB trade was to open up opportunities for other WR's. You think Rivera did all that by himself?

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
