Good point, but our secondary would look a lot better with him there.

No doubt!  But I feel like our problem is offense.

LaFell took off career wise after he went to the Patriots.

People really underestimate the impact a particular team ,system, coaches, and culture affect players. The Browns have players who would be game breakers for other teams, but being on the Browns they look like poo.

I dont think the Panthers have an ideal system for any offensive skill player to flourish with any real consistency.  And the owner established a culture /mindset of conservatism thats led to franchise mediocrity and an inability to be consistent winners.

Exactly, I always roll my eyes whenever a free agent prospect from a poo team comes into focus, and there always 3 or 4 people that says, "he got cut by the Browns, he sucks". It's never that simple.

Left Carolina and went to New England= increased completions, more TDs, Super Bowl Champ. Went to Cincy= even more completions and TDs.

Wow, leave Carolina, go elsewhere, become more productive, win a Super Bowl and he sucks, eh? A stat line that shows 74 catches for 953 yds and 7 TDs to earn the SB ring. What does that say for the Carolina roster?

Considering Funchess won't come close to that number this season and he's Carolina's #1 WR......

Considering Carolina hasn't had that level of productivity from any WR since Steve Smith left....

But, yeah, LaFell sucks....

His NE and Carolina stats are practically identical he just got more targets there. Two more touchdowns in New England and now he's Super Bowl MVP lol.

The patriots cut Lafell after two seasons. After they got caught deflating footballs the next season his drops increased tenfold and had his worst season since his rookie year
