Butler to replace Star?

Thinking it is likely. 

I know many think that Butler can't play the nose tackle spot, but I believe he can. The man is 330 pounds. Him and KK next to each other would look a lot like the Sapp/McFarland combo that helped win a Superbowl for Tampa Bay.

Either way, Star is gone. I’m all for using the resource we have readily available and used a first rounder on, but we also will need another big man ala Kyle Love mold.

I just hope that money goes to resigning Norwell or a WR/DB free agent.

If Butler can make the transition then why not?  If Star prices us out of the market then they have to look elsewhere and as the saying goes, the answer is on the roster.

We actually don't have a ton of depth at the NT/DT/UT position. Short, Butler and Love are the only ones under contract.

Vita Vea probably doesn't make it to 24 but heres a look at Star's replacement if he falls in the draft. The writing is from a Cowboy's needs prospective but it fits for Carolina as well.

NEED to lock up Norwell ASAP before the Giants can poach him with Star's comments yesterday and seemingly already out the door.  Roll with Butler in place of Star, and sign a halfway decent vet to play there as well.

I am glad Star is making this easy for us and seems to be pretty upfront with media/fans about the situation. I can respect that.

I am absolutely baffled by the fact that Butler weighs 15 pounds more than Star who is listed at 315. His entire career I assumed Star was a damn anchor but it turns out Butler has him beat by more than a Thanksgiving dinner. This fact alone makes me feel a little better about the idea of Butler stepping in. That and the fact that he really came on towards the end of the season.

Perhaps....he's a big un....can't really tell with what little his done and what little we know about him. Has he done that in practice or anything to show this?
