If Jags win a SB Before Us, Will You Be Happy?

Dont give an eff. They play in the easiest division in football while we play in the toughest. They have always had top picks for over a decade so in my opinion they are behind where they should be after so many miserable years. But good for them. I hope they embarrass the Cheatriots

This is why i'm rooting for New England.  As I said in another thread, 5 or 6 is barely any different for them, while the list of franchises that have never won a SB shrinking while the Panthers are still on it just opens us up to more ridicule.  Especially by what has been until now our little expansion brother.

New England getting 6 also would piss off Cowboy and Steelers fans, who I like even less.

Yeah I'd be happy to see the Jags play in their first Super Bowl and win. I'd be just as happy to see them lose to either NFC team. The Eagles aren't the same team of dirty players and drama queens they were a few years back. And you can't help but to love Minny's story. Hell I'd be okay with the Patriots winning I suppose. I got my wish when the Saints and Falcons were eliminated.

I'm hoping the Vikes makes it happen, since the '98 team with Cunningham, Moss, Carter, and Robert Smith is what got me into football, but if the Jags win, there will be no hard feelings from me. I view them as our brother team, so while I'll be a little salty, the Panthers had their opportunities while the Jags struggled and it didn't get done.

    • It would depend on how we lost... If we lose a bunch of 17-13 . 20-7 type games where the defense plays well and offensively Bryce is sh***TING the bed...then he wouldn't get fired.  If we are losing 40-9, 38-14 type games..then yeah it's a possibility.   Couple that with our tough schedule.. if we show well in lets say half those games.. win either Seattle or New England game, at least 1 win vs division oponents.. he's good.  So imo.. to get fired he needs to : Loose badly against the top tier teams ie Blown out Show no progress offensively from last year. Show an unwillingness to bench Bryce again if he is horrible over multiple games ..  Get swept by the Saints again.
    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
