Voth thinks Wilks is gone

There's really only one job left undecided thats Arizona. I'm a little confused at the moment. NBC Sports (Gantt) is saying signs suggest they are leaning towards Wilks (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/01/22/signs-suggest-cardinals-might-be-leaning-toward-steve-wilks/). Kent Somers (Cards Beat writer) is reporting  "Arizona Cardinals are looking to hold second interviews with New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores and Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo"  https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/cardinals/2018/01/04/eagles-assistant-john-defilippos-experience-qbs-attractive-cardinals/1003730001/

Having his 2nd interview pass so long ago would seem to indicate otherwise. Especially since they’ve schedule multiple other 2nd interviews. Yes there’s due diligence but if Wilks was his guy they’d have known it before now.

Yeah. He is no longer in the running. Remember when Norv got on the plane and went back to Cal...  Oh wait....

    • The key difference being expectation. Jake was basically an afterthought of a free agent signing. Bryce is a guy we mortgaged the franchise on to be THE GUY. Not to mention a different era of football before all the rule changes to benefit the passing game. I don't care how we win either. I just realize that the odds of continuing to win in today's NFL with this level of QB play are very low. If I knew for sure that the Panthers had already decided to pursue other options at QB this off-season I could breathe a sigh of relief but of course they're not going to say that publicly.
    • Malik Willis, Will Levis and that backup kid on the Eagles.  All would be better in Canales’ system and all would be better than Bryce. So there are 3 for you.
    • On some of those "GWDs" he literally didn't even complete a pass. It's a terrible metric. Did the team possess the ball and score to go up near the end of the game? If yes, then GWD for the QB. What? Even if he doesn't even do anything?
