Wanna see what Eric Washington is like on game day?

Watching this video you are kinda reminded that we DO have some young talent at DE, if our rotation, or rather DL groups looks like:

Peppers / Addison / Horton / Hall / Cox Jr / Rookie

Then considering the interior DL

Short / Butler / Love / Rookie or FA

I feel like that is as good a front as anyone currently has top to bottom, could we use another young guy or two sure, but if we start next season with the above I'm good with that.

He's been the most impressive coach to me in my trips to training camp, always teaching and encouraging his players. It shows; the d-line is the only position group on the team that has had below average players develop into very good players.

I'm happy for him. I do wonder, though, why people who excel in teaching and motivating are expected to suddenly be good play-callers at the very highest level of competition. Seems like it'd be a very different animal. I really hope it works out.

As long as he doesn't allow DBs to play 10 yards off their receivers on 3rd and 8 I'll be happy with him. That was my biggest criticism of Wilks. Hell even McD did that at times. But with Wilks it almost seemed like he was purposely doing it to allow our DBs to succeed with sub-par talent. In other words, I really think we need a secondary overhaul. That will help our defense more than a new DC.
