Jordy Nelson Getting Released

I'd definitely go for him. Would help us keep our comp picks too. But yes of course depends on cost. Coming off injuries and his production being inflated by Rodgers his entire career makes me think he might not be all that expensive. And he'll be 33 in May...

There's probably reason.  Hasn't he been injured a lot of late?

This is a $10.2M cap savings. Nelson had one year left on his deal. Thought Packers might extend him, but not to be. Jimmy Graham replaces him as the red-zone threat.

Damn,  didn't realize he's so old.

Packers declared WR Jordy Nelson, WR Davante Adams, CB Damarious Randall, RB Aaron Jones, OG Jahri Evans, TE Richard Rodgers, and LB Chris Odom inactive for Week 17 against the Lions.
That puts an end to Nelson's worst season of his career. As soon as Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone in October, it was all over for Nelson. Weeks 1-6, Nelson averaged a 5.0-58.0 weekly line with all six of his touchdowns. From Week 7 on, Nelson averaged a 3.1-21.3 weekly receiving line with zero scores. Nelson had no 100-yard games on the year. He turns 33 in May and may have played his final game in Green Bay after the Packers handed out a massive extension to Davante Adams this week. Nelson has one year left on his deal at $9.25 million. Sun, Dec 31, 2017 11:33:00 AM

Was still fairly productive early this year before the Packers' O turned into a sh*tshow without Rodgers. And coming off the injury in 2016, he had over 1200 yards and 14 TDs... The guy can definitely still play and would probably instantly be our best WR. He's EXTREMELY sure-handed though so that would be very nice to see.
