How Clutch Was Jairus Wright Last Year? Had 18 Receptions. Guess How Many Third Down Conversions?

Jairus Wright had 18 receptions in total.

Guess how many were converted to 3rd downs?

13. 13 third down conversions, 2 TDs.

From what Vikings fans are saying, he's the guy to go to when your TE1, WR1, and WR2 are covered, as he'll always work his way on crossing routes and find a way to get open for that clutch 3rd down.

While I do expect him to be more a depth/situational piece, I do like the idea of a reliable possession receiver with some speed on this team.

Wow 18 catches all year. That was worth the money he got, sounds like the Panthers. I think Shepherd might have had a couple catches with TB before he signed here. Man this is so depressing!!!

Wright is the type of add that doesn't generate fan fair, but let a few 3rd down conversions happen this coming Fall and guys will love him. Cotchery wasn't a 'sexy' pick up. However he meant a ton to our offense's ability to sustain drives.

The fact some are some how unmoved by this signing is a disappointment because they must've forgotten the failures and the missed opportunities the last few seasons.

This Steve guy has just recently started posting but he is on his way to setting records for bitching

Hey at least I care about what this team is going after. Y'all praise everything this ownership does and it never works.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
