How do the Maryland Terrapins have an indoor practice facility and the Carolina Panthers do not ?  one thing I hope changes with ownership is this.

The technical explanation is "filthy rich alumni willing to 'donate' money".

By the way, the founder, Chairman, and CEO of Under Armour, Kevin Plank is a Maryland alum.

His net worth is $1.73 billion.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy who cuts a check for lots of Maryland's facilities.

Oh look...

"In November 2014, Plank made a pledge of $25 million to the University of Maryland to be used for the proposed athletics and academic complex."

The facility supposedly cost $90 million, so Planks donation pretty much knocked out 1/3 of the cost (as noted in the Washington Post article linked below).

Starting to feel like he's our guy if we go offense at 24.  With new owners coming in...

Hurney and Rivera's jobs are on the line, they're going to be aggressive.  Norv didn't come back without being told he could overhaul the offense.  Hurney has said he's getting Cam weapons.  Whether it's at 24, or a trade up in the 2nd, I think he's a target.  Also thinking more and more that we'll make our pick at 24, and trade up, since the elusive trade down never happens.

we're going to have a rather crowded WR room with Funchess, Smith, Samuel, Byrd, Wright, and DJ Moore.  That right about the maximum of 6 WRs that we would carry. And I wonder where exactly he'd fit in the offense if CMC is going to be catching alot of balls again.

Dont completely count out Shepard, special teams is going to make him hard to cut.

I would be down for a draft focused on offense.

1st DJ Moore WR

2nd Hayden Hurst TE

3rd Jesse Bates III S

3rd Rashaad Penny RB

Cam would have a solid weapon group at his disposal.

RB: Penny, CMC, CAP

FB: Armah

TE: Olsen, Hurst (and Manhertz)

WR 1: Funchess, Smith

WR 2: Moore, Byrd

Slot: Samuel, Wright

If M Kalil fits Turner's offensive schemes and responds better, Moton picks up where Norwell left and Ryan Kalil stays health, this O-line be really good. With that said, Cam could habe a career year.

So you put Penny ahead of CMC?

I'm cautiously optimistic even though our OL looks to be swiss cheese this season. An OC worth his salt can mask these issues.

he's old...ickey. old things have no bearing our our lives today.

Didn't he have a better pro day?

He did, but the websites I check in on still have Moore over Ridley---2 of about 10.  At one point, I was under the impression  that there was Ridley and everyone else, but he dropped after the combine and Moore has been rising.

Ridley is the better WR and will make the better rookie pro, if you ask me.  Moore had some unusual circumstances at MD with QBs, so who really knows?  Is Ridley a notch below Amari Cooper?  Some say so.  I have not seen as much from him, but he seems more frail than Moore---Ridley reminds me of Marvin  Harrison--which aint bad.  But we already have some frail WRs....
