Which helps when you throw more short passes rather than deep passes.

I mean in terms of deep balls, he was a bit lower in quality towards the end of the season. His play against the Rams is a really good example.

Like I said, Brees now has a ton of talent around him so the focal point doesn't just have to be on him and his passing game, and it's only going to help him down the road.

Wrong...

2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Adjusted Completion Percentage: 52.5 percent

Yards: 965 (5th)

The Saints took a more conservative approach on offense this season, but when they went down the field, Brees was his usual, accurate self. He floated a few deep passes early in the season, but he got back on track and hit seam routes and touch throws to the tune of the second-highest adjusted completion percentage on deep shots, and a 103.3 passer rating that ranked eighth.

Like I said months ago, we are the 3rd best team in the NFCS.  Y’all keep dreaming that this team has a shot at a SB this season.  We aren’t even close.

Yeah I can't believe Pepper's came back for another year

They manage to put pieces around Brees as he ages to help him stay relevant in the league. Sure he isn't the same QB he was ten years ago, but he can still play at a high level. More that I can say about a certain team, that let a QB languish with a subpar offense around him along with a terrible OC to boot.

While leading the league in YPA last year.  If that is someone with a “shot” arm, re-sign Testaverde.

Ha - yeah. The difference is they have a ground game now and he doesn’t have to sling it around so his yards and attempts are down. But he didn’t look any less efficient or accurate to me.

He averaged over 8 yards per completion during his last 5 contests of the regular season... during that same time period Cam only averaged 6.3 yards per completion.

Brees' arm definitely isn't shot and they were a fluke play away from being in the NFC championship game. I understand we hate the Saints and all but Brees is a hell of QB anyway you spin it.
