I use this website for more comprehensive, local, and accurate prospect meetings. The guy here does a fantastic job finding under-the-radar credible sources on prospects and compiles it nicely here.

I clustered these by position for better understanding.  Thank me  when you get the time.

Here is my theory.  Private workouts show the most interest--or curiosity.  I could not help but notice how closely we are looking at CB--4 private workouts.  Looking at these numbers, you could argue the following (by the way, the projected rounds drafted are estimates based on the sites I read--you may have different opinions)-

1. We ARE drafting a CB early.

2. We ARE drafting a S early.

3. We want to draft a WR early, but we may be hoping someone drops to the third--or if a S is not there in the second...

4.RB will be chosen in the third round, but maybe we trade up on day 3.

5. We probably should be more concerned about TE than this indicates.

6.  Anybody get the feeling that we are drafting Tony Adams in the 5th round to be the next C?

7.  If there is a surprise pick/position, I say it is DE--Chad Thomas.

Offensive Line (4, 2 private workouts)

  • Tony Adams, C, N.C. State (WOR) probably drafted between rounds 5-7
  • James Daniels, C, Iowa (PRI) 1-2
  • Braden Smith, G, Auburn (PRI) 2-3
  • Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA (PRO) 1-3
  • DIDNT MARTY GO TO SEE RAGNOW AT ARKANSAS?

Tight End: (3, 1 private workout)

  • Mike Gesicki, TE, Penn State (SR%) 2-3
  • Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina (PRI) 2-3
  • David Wells, TE, San Diego State (EW) Undrafted

Wide Receiver (5, 2 Private)

  • DaeSean Hamilton, WR, Penn State (EW) 3-5
  • Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M (PRI) 2-3
  • Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis (PRI) 2-3
  • D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland (WOR) 1-2
  • Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama (PRO) 1

Running Back (5, 2 private)

  • Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia (PRI) 2-3
  • Jaylen Samuels, RB, N.C. State (PRO) 4-6
  • Nyheim Hines, RB, N.C. State (PRO) 4-6
  • Sony Michel, RB, Georgia (COM) 2-3
  • Rashaad Penny^, RB, San Diego State (PRI, PRO) 2-3

Cornerback (7, 4 private)

  • Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville (PRI) 1-2
  • Duke Dawson, CB, Florida (PRI) 2-4
  • Donte Jackson, CB, LSU (PRI) 2-4
  • Mike Hughes^, CB, Central Florida (PRO, PRI) 1-2
  • Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa (PRO) 1-2
  • Quenton Meeks, CB, Stanford (PRO) 4-5
  • Chandon Sullivan, CB, Georgia State (PRO) 7-undrafted

Safety (3, 3 Private)

  • Jessie Bates^, S, Wake Forest (LOC, PRI) 2-3
  • Justin Reid, S, Stanford (PRI) 1-3
  • Ronnie Harrison, S, Alabama (PRI) 1-2

Defensive End (4, 1 private)

  • Jalyn Holmes, DE, Ohio State (PRO)  4-6
  • Josh Sweat, DE/3-4OLB, Florida State (COM) 2-3
  • Chad Thomas, DE/3-4OLB, Miami (PRI) 3-4
  • Kentavius Street, DE, N.C. State (PRO) 5-7

Great site.

Initial thoughts:

WR - early, maybe round 1

RB - second round

Guard - middle to later part of the draft

CB - rounds 1or 2

DE - one of our thirds

Damn that’s an awesome site. I was just looking a Walter. This guy does a great job!  And my super sleeper is on there.  I will post about that on another thread.

Much better---Now, after studying this for a few tense minutes, here is what I take away from this:

We are looking at later round QBs---White from  W Ky is the target--5th round maybe.  No Tony Pike.

I was interested to see Brandon Parker (NC A&T) was in for a local visit.  I really like him and think he will develop into a starting LT.  He has a fifth round grade right now.

I didn’t even realize it but we grabbed Dorian Johnson G Pitt. He was a 4th rounder last year with 2/3 round grades before the draft. Not sure why he got released by Arizona but not a bad chance to take. Doesn’t have anything to do with this thread but I noticed him on the roster while checking out the visits.

Yes he passed under the radar as a pickup and nobody mentioned him in the LG conversation. His knock is a heart condition. We are his third NFL team and despite his drafting he didn’t make the AZ 53 in his rookie season. It would be an amazing pickup if we can get anything out of him.

I think Street can be ruled out- even as UFA-he will be out for most of the season. Too bad I hope we give him a chance in camp next year.

    • They're sneaky good.  Very good.  And they had the personnel to match perfectly against us.   Seattle played really straight forward cover-2 and cover-3 pretty much all day.  They had some nice simulated pressures in cover-3 that baited us to move more quickly than we needed to.  They just totally cooked us.  It was a full Macdonald checkmate against Canales & the offense.       The recipe: Contain the run game enough (check) and have the LB & secondary athleticism to shut us down in the air (check)      For any team that can match our OL's run blocking, just run a cover 2/cover 3 all-day.  Similar to what the Saints did.  Pepper in some simulated pressures to bait Bryce while you're at it.  Bryce doesn't play the best against zone.  Huge weakness, averages like -.09 EPA/P in his career.  How that actualizes - from my eye test as a silly fan, he just doesn't have the velocity for the shorter/intermediates from in the pocket to the outside to get guys the ball in space vs zone.  His best games (Rams, Falcons) was when they had a blitz we caught, went man, or it was a critical down with a misdirect/PA and he had the space to throw a nice ball, sometimes with anticipation.  23rd rated QB against zone.  24th completion percentage against zone.  42nd against zone ANY/A with a clean pocket.  ANY/A being one of the more consistent correlations to wins you can find out of the EPA stuff you'll see nowadays.  He doesn't even crack the top 32 for eligible QBs.
    • well, I have always said Sam Darnold is Sam Darnold.  Which he always proves to be.  NYJ Sam was at BOA Sunday.   I think Bryce criticism is a one of one.  Because he is unicorn.
    • JT's Stats for the 2025 season. REC: 29 / YARDS: 190/ TD: 1/ Yards per catch: 6.6 The data seems to indicate that JT is not a huge component of our offense. His presence (or lack of it) is not what cost us that game yesterday. Sanders is a big guy but he seems to go down as soon as contact is made. He hasn't produced any "wow moments" in during his 2 years with the team. So far he's proven to be a JAG. I'd rather see Tremble and Evan on the field as our # 1 and #2 TE's.
