Walterfootball Panthers Mock Draft 4/18 , Its a Good One.

One of the best one's I've seen so far.

R1 : DJ Moore , WR, Maryland  (6'0'' 210 , Age 21 )

R2 : Hayden Hurst , TE, South Carolina   (6'4'' 250 , will be 25 before the season starts)

R3 : Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn  (6'1'' 203 , Age 21)

R3 : Duke Ejiofor , DE, Wake Forest  (6'4'' 270 , will be 23 before the season starts)

R5 : Jamarco Jones, OT, Ohio State (6'5'' 310 , Age ??)

R6 : Dominic Sanders, S , Georgia  (6'0'' 193, Age ??)

Very balanced draft, the only qualm I have is not drafting a RB, but its possible Rivera just decides to commit to CAP being the power back or giving CMC more carries.

Didnt realize how young DJ Moore was, he already turned 21 this year so he'll be 21 for his first season much like Funchess was.

Hayden Hurst IS rather old, but is a good player. Will be odd with him being 29 or 30 by the time his rookie deal is up. Nobodies going to want to pay a 30 yr old TE big bucks

Carlton Davis has great size for  a CB and is quite young too , interesting prospect.

If we can get Ejiofor and Daeshon Hall contributing this season that would make a huge different to our pass rushing ability.

Not a huge fan of waiting that late to take a saftey, but hes from a quality school and good size.  Jones might be a project OT that we could use to plug in when we can finally say goodbye to Matt Kalil.

Didn't realize Hurst was that old.  If we draft him it better be in the second.

Yeah that's the only knock on him. Some think it doesn't matter since te play into their 30s but others think he's hit his ceiling. And I honestly wouldn't draft a first rounder that has just about hit his peak as a 25 year old rookie

Yeah, so?  Do these kinds of threads ruin your day or something?

    • Narratives change real fast because of how fast information travels these days and the need to generate clicks.  People said the Panthers were a great place for him to land but just because it was said doesn't make it true.  Was that true?  Did we have an All-star staff?  Did we have a good front office?  Did we surround him with talent?  Could the defense carry the load?  You have to squirt really hard to think it was just a bad rookie QB stinking it up all by his lonesome.   Saying the worst football teams have bad QB's is just low handing fruit.  It's the easiest thing to grab onto.  It could also be teams that have a bad coaching staff or no talent to surrounding the QB or a horrible front office.  It can also be a horrible QB.  To this day I think that T-Law going to the Jags might have ruined his career because of Urban Meyer.  I don't agree at all that Bryce's only good game of his entire career was against the Falcons.   Week 16 against the Cards (which is one of those last 3 games we mentioned) 36-30 OT win.  Threw 3 TD's Week 12 against KC 30-27 loss but Bryce went 24 of 35 for 263 yrds.  It was Mahomes magic that got us. Week 10 against the Bucs 298 yards in a close game with a passing TD and a running TD. We even had those flashes of what he could be in 2023 against the Packers, the 95-yard game winning drive vs the Falcons, or how he outplayed CJ Shroud with the win over the Texans. Especially in this respect you're not being truthful.
    • It's wild but there have been people placing most of the blame on Renfrow.
    • Right now he’s a little more advanced Anthony Richardson.
