Man, sooooo many good guys in the top half of the second round.  Maybe lightning will strike again and a great player will drop

If anything that list makes me want to stay put, I see some good players at positions of need throughout that list.  They have Reid, Goedert, and Bates at 27,28, and 29.

THE MHS BIG BOARD:  BECAUSE YOU CANNOT NOT LOOK.

Seriously, use this template to arrange your rankings.  I bolded my REALISTIC faves.  There are about 10 or so that will not even get close enough to trade up for...

1.       Will Hernendez, G, Tex EP

First round talent, will not fall enough for us.

2.       Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa

Jackson will be gone by pick 40. (will be gone)

3.       Isiah Oliver, CB, Colorado

My favorite CB in this draft, he could fall to us at 55, but unlikely. (will be gone)

4.       James Daniel, C, Iowa

A center I would love to have, but so would 31 other teams. (will be gone)

5.       Derrius Guice, RB, LSU

He will be drafted in the first 10 picks today, but if he falls…. (will be gone)

6.       Justin Reid, S, Stanford

I think Reid would be a nice addition, but unlikely he will fall. Yes, Marty.

7.       Connor Williams, OT/G Tex

Williams is a versatile, powerful OL.  He would start at LG. (will be gone)

8.       Ronnie Harrison, S, Alabama

I think Harrison drops more than people realize; overrated?  Yes, Marty.

9.       Harold Landry, DE Boston C.

Size and defense vs. the run drops him, but he is a talent. (will be gone)

10.   Dallas Goedert, TE, SDSU

While I doubt we go TE in the second, we could if Dallas is there.

11.   Rasheem Green, DE USC

The Panthers love to move DE’s inside at times. RG is that guy.  Yes, Marty.

12.   Braden Smith, G, Auburn

The Panthers like him, but he is more G/T than G/C.  Not sure.

13.   Tyrell Crosby, G, Oregon

Flying under the radar, Crosby will be a good NFL guard.

14.   Nick Chubb, RB, UGA

Perfect RB for our needs.  Yes, Marty.

15.   Ronald Jones, RB, USC

Nobody has been talking about Jones, too small?

16.   Sam Hubbard, DE  Ohio St.

Hubbard at 55 would be a great pick; he could be there.  Yes, Marty.

17.   Carlton Davis, CB Auburn

Good cover corner with good size.  Has the hands of a milk snake.

18.   Jessie Bates, S, Wake Forest

I think he is overrated, not as physical as I would like.

19.   Mike Gesicki, TE PSU

Athletic, workout warrior.  Overrated, in my opinion.

20.   Martinas Rankin, C, Miss St.

Smart with shortish arms, projects to a good NFL C.  Yes, Marty.

21.   Donte Jackson, CB, LSU

Smallish so I am leary, but a good CB.

22.   Tavarius Moore, FS  So. Miss

Sub 4.4 at FS would really help the CBs-underrated prospect.

23.   Mason Rudolph  QB Ok St.

I doubt he survives the Dolphins, Broncos, etc. but he is a value

24.   Austin Corbett, G, Nevada

Solid player who could move to C, but probably will be a G.

25.   Kerryon Johnson, RB Auburn

Lower because I do not see him as a fit—too many war eagles?

26.   Josh Sweat, DE FSU

Not a smallish DE from FSU, but stereotyping is stupid.

Can u sell me on Hubbard? Everything I read has me wanting to pass on him

It is ALL potential. I was totally against him when he was in first round conversations, but a year with Peppers in a rotation as a second rounder..yes.

I have a brother in law who went to Ohio St. and he goes to games.  He said Hubbard was solid, not flashy, always around the ball, good vs. the run. Smart. But the DL In Bosa bros.. shadow, with a few other DEs in the mix at OSU.   Some say he will be a better pro than college player---high motor.  His 3-cone was in the high sixes (6.8) so he has some quickness and agility.  He may not get 14 sacks in a season, but he will get 8 and lock down the strong side.

Harold Landry is still available. I wanted him in the first and i was surprised he dropped so much. Kid's got so much potential and definitely is a fit as a 4-3 DE.

I just don't think he will last past pick 40.

Yeah, we've got to move up. Trade the 2nd and back 3rd to move up 10-15 spots. About half of those will be starters by mid year the othe half will still be depth players at best.

Move up and get: Daniels, Hernandez, Jackson, Oliver, or Landry and sign one of the FA Safeties.

Another note: Bucs are about to take this draft.

2nd: TE

3rd: RB

3rd: S

Now that I think about it , Gesiki or Andrews would be very solid pick anywhere on Day 2 .

RB wont have value for us until 3rd or 5th, I agree. I thik the 5th is perfect, get Scarborough, Freeman, or Josh Adams that late is a steal .

trading our 2nd and higher 3rd vaults us to chicago's pick. i think we have to do it if its available. Jackson, Chubb, Reid, Hernandez, Oliver, Daniels (year 2) - all are difference makers.

Nice idea...I like it.

Carlton Davis is nice. Did Auburn play ZONE?

Hopefully Oliver keeps falling. More talent and potential.

I'm really hoping they can get Tyrell Crosby/Braden Smith and  Martinas Rankins/James Daniels.

As much as I would love to keep our picks, this just sounds too good to pass up.
