List ...

Example..

Cap is happy as hell..

Sheppard is calling his agent and getting his resume up to date.

Cmc had said he never wanted to come off the field. He now may touch the ball as often as Levon bell Lets see

I have three tiers going on right now:

1) Worried: Shepard ($2m cap savings and not enough room on the depth chart)

2) Happy: CAP and CMC (both are happy that their share isn't diluted by any additions, but the right FA signing easily changes this)

3) On the fence:

Captain: his contract might save him this year, but Sheppard's cut would just about take care of it if we wanted to free up the roster spot. He needs to Team up and produce. I could move this into the worried spot without any debate.

Colin Jones: Likely fine with his team knowledge and experience, but that instantly changes if we sign another FA S and look to further improve this position

Ben Jacobs: We drafted a lot of LBs that might be given opportunities should he slack either during the off season or during the more prominent backup role during TDs suspension

Manhertz: finds himself in a similar situation as this time last year but with slighlty higher opportunities as Thomas takes the year to learn. This might be his small window of opportunity for his entire career.

Bryd: finds himself in a similar situation as this time last year. However if he can somehow again make it and help produce during injuries again this year, next year's roster may prove some more prominent opportunities.

Fozzy: is probably fine but is carrying $1m+ cap hit without any dead cap, it seems his role may be diminishing with CAP and CMC, he will need to make the most of everything to keep a roster spot this year and beyond. If we sign a FA RB he's gone.

Samuel: this is the one that's least likely of the bunch but could start creeping into conversations, a lot has to go wrong here but football happens. If he gets injured again and/or Moore and Funchess produces like I think they will, his spot becomes unstable. Or, if Wright, Bryd, or Smith out performes him through a healthy season then he becomes more expendable.

Then you have a short list of depth players that could lose out to competition, as you do every year.

Ben Jacob's is a good one.. He has to know there are 2 young guys who need to beat him out to make this team now.. His spot is in jeopardy..

Bradberry better play up to his ability, or his seat will get warm.

The DBs in general shouldn't be feeling too comfortable, and neither should JAG receivers.

Yeah because one of the mighty midgets can cover the likes of Julio Jones or Mike Evans.

I think Samuel is more worried than Byrd. Byrd has had to earn his spot every year. He doesn’t expect anything given to him and works his ass off every offseason so having to compete for his job is just another day. He also outplayed Samuel when on the field imho #buttdragswag
